Next camp: January 25-29, 2010, in Valencia, CA!
Nov 3rd, 2009 by alaina

The next Women’s Grappling Camp will run from January 25-29 at Big John McCarthy’s Ultimate Training Academy in Valencia, CA, USA. Mark your calendars! Save your pennies! We’re going to be making some cool changes, including some special guests that join Felicia, Val and Emily.

The Toronto camp was held immediately following the Grapple Girls Open–North America’s first all-women’s grappling tournament–and we felt that pairing the camp with a tournament was a big success. For our winter 2010 camp we are partnering with the Gracie US Nationals at the LA Fit Expo on January 23-24. Come compete at the Gracie Nationals and then spend a week training with us!

Stay tuned for more information.

Grapple Girls Women’s Open: Register now!
Jul 2nd, 2009 by alaina

We have opened registration for the Grapple Girls Women’s Open tournament on August 22, 2009, in Toronto, ON. You can visit the registration page to register for the tournament.

The tournament will be conducted with FILA grappling rules and will offer both gi and no-gi divisions. The FILA grappling rules will be very familiar to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and submission grappling competitors – matches are scored similarly to BJJ tournaments, and the same submissions are allowed.

We are finalizing the superfights now – once we get confirmation from the competitors, we will post them on the Grapple Girls website. See you there!
